IMPACTORS ON USE Go to HotQuotes

Marijuana use by teens and pre-teens is predicated by their Perception of Risk toward using the drug.  The national and Washington state surveys presented in this section, as well as the well-regarded substance abuse prevention literature in the Take Action section, all point to the importance of impacting teen's Perception of Risk.

This section provides information relating to the factors which impact teen's Perception of Risk.  As with all marketing and education, the factors impacting teen's Perception of Risk can simply be catagorized as Anti-drug (drug enforcement and prevention) and Pro-drug (drug legalization and glamorization) messages.

If we truly hope to influence our youth toward making healthy decisions, an effort must be made to increase teen's Perception of Risk.   If you would like to make a difference, find out how in our Take Action section.
