I've heard meth labs are dangerous, is this true?

Not only are the chemicals highly flammable and highly toxic, but when mixing the chemicals it is not uncommon to have an explosion. The cookers leave behind byproducts so toxic they could burn flesh off of bones. Breathing the fumes from a distance can permanently damage someone's lungs. Chemicals are often just dumped on the ground to damage the soil and water in the surrounding area. There is always the danger of very intense fire.
