I own rental property, should I be concerned about meth labs?

Yes as a landlord it is important to aggressively monitor activity in rental units and to scrutinize prospective tenants' backgrounds. The cost to a landlord to clean up a rental unit that had housed a meth lab typically runs between $2,500 and $4,000, but can run as high as $10,000. There is also the cost of lost rental income during clean up and the possible cost of remodeling after a unit is decontaminated.
