How addictive is meth?

Meth users say the first hit brings an intense rush of energy and happiness. That high only happens once, but a meth user doesn't care, or doesn't notice. Meth addicts will spend the rest of their lives trying to feel that way. Addicts do attempt to kick the habit, but according to Mike Patten of the Washington National Guard, it takes an average of three to four tries to stop using.
