During July, the HIDTA's Tacoma task force
reported three significant seizures from a major drug trafficking organization operating
in their area. Almost 10 pounds of heroin was seized and four men were arrested. One of
the four men in custody was believed to have been laundering drug proceeds through his
restaurant. In other related searches, 4 pounds of heroin and $7,000 in cash were
recovered from homes in Tacoma and Enumclaw. Cars belonging to the men were also searched
an another 7 ½ pounds was found in hidden compartments. In a raid last March the task
